Even though next to motorway this did not impact our stay. Lovely cosy and warm. Short drive to surrounding areas. Only downside couple of windows (sash style) in bedroom did not close properly and draughty overnight, hopefully this issue will be sorted.

On arrival the key wasn’t located where it said on the key collection details. We quickly found it though in the outside toilet. The cottage was cold at first but we soon got the heating on and it warmed up quickly. The house is very clean and comfortable. The garden was immaculate and safe for our small dogs. Excellent countryside for walking the dogs. You can hear road noise from the A1 but it is minimal from indoors and didn’t bother us at all. The Cottage is in a very good position for shops and takeaways and central for visitors attractions. We absolutely loved the cottage and had the best holiday for a while.
