Standing in the heart of bustling Alnwick in Northumberland, Treetops is an apartment inside an impressive property that cleverly combines traditional features with contemporary touches and is ideal for a family holiday. The open-plan living area sets the tone for the rest of the home with clean, white walls contrasting with a stunning vaulted ceiling. There is an ample seating area arranged around a feature fireplace with a stove-effect gas fire and the tasteful soft furnishings help to create a really warm and inviting area. You can imagine spending many happy hours socialising and relaxing together here. It’s just a few steps into the stylish, contemporary kitchen which is comprehensively fitted with all that’s needed for creating fantastic holiday food. Adjoining the kitchen is the elegant dining area with its chic table and chairs, just waiting for guests to take a seat and tuck into long, lazy meals together. The outside offers another space to socialise alfresco with shared, enclosed gardens ideal for the children (and any pets!) to run around safely while the grown-ups can relax. A feature spiral staircase leads from the living space up to a cool mezzanine sitting area, a great alternative space with beanbags and plenty of space to chill out, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the house. When it’s time for bed, the bedrooms certainly don’t disappoint: think stylish boutique hotel with walls painted in tasteful hues, stylish soft furnishings and sumptuous beds. The bathrooms are equally appealing with a soak in the feature free-standing bath a must while you’re at Treetops. Located in the heart of the vibrant market town of Alnwick, Treetops is the perfect base from which to explore the region. The town is dominated by its stunning castle and gardens which boasts Europe’s largest cascading water feature. The castle’s other claim to fame is that it was the setting for Hogwarts School as featured in the Harry Potter films. The town also has a good selection of shops and amenities as well as miles of beaches to explore. Nearby coastal towns worth visiting include Alnmouth, Seahouses, Warkworth and Beadnell with trips to Farne Islands popular where you can look out for unusual birds and even seals. Other attractions include Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland Country Zoo and Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery. If you want to get active then have a go at golf at Alnmouth Golf Course, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre or surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach, or just head out for a hike anywhere along the Heritage Coastline and you won’t be disappointed. For a home-from-home that feels like a boutique hotel, make sure you book a holiday at Treetops.
The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.

Lovely warm, homely accommodation with everything we needed. Large enough for the four of us to enjoy. Kitchen very well equipped, living flame fire gave out fabulous heat. Beds were very comfortable, nice linen. The area, Barter Books is a book lovers dream not to be missed. Eating out, highly recommend Sharhaan Indian Restaurant

Parking on site which is one of the things we look for when booking. Well equipped kitchen, front room, bathrooms and bedrooms all good. Only thing that would improve the stay is it would be good to have the heating on for new arrivals.

I would definitely recommend the apartment as a place to stay.
