Wow! We love the cottage. It has everything you need and more, including a dressing table. The views are to die for, we have seen some big waves this week. We have visited Northumberland 3/4 times a year and find Amble a great place to chill. Jaspers as always was very very good. The Old Customs House is great for coffee and cake. Turnbull’s butchers and deli in Alnwick is outstanding. Can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous cottage and definitely a location location moment. Especially if you like a big sea! Beautifully decorated and whilst we were initially worried about it being completely open plan after the forecast was for a very cold snowy week it was comfortably warm and very cosy on the two or three occasions we lit the log burner. Very well equipped and very comfy beds. All you could wish for. Jaspers for seafood, fabulous. Lounge bar on a Sunday afternoon for a bit of rock music. The Customs house Amble and Bertram’s  in Warkworth for coffee and cake.

We have stayed many times on this coast and The Alba ranks very highly – comfort and views! Great food as usual at The Fish Shack & The Harbour Inn. Radcliffe’s bar is great and Spurrelis is great for ice-cream. We visited beautiful Alnmouth, there is lots of good places to eat and drink. Scott’s Deli is fab! The estuary walk is always fascinating. The weather was gorgeous until the very end of our break when Storm Babet hit. It was great to watch the waves over the pier walkway! We will be back!
