As the evening wears on, enjoy a soak amongst the bubbles before you retire to one of the two bedrooms, a king-size zip-link that can be set up as a twin on request and a twin bedroom. Bamburgh is a fantastic location bursting with great places to visit, beginning with the amazing castle, towering over the town and allowing for extensive views of the countryside and beaches surrounding the area. If you love watersports or simply wish to take a relaxing stroll with the sound of the waves, travel down to the beach and feel the sand beneath your toes. Dine out at one of the tasty eateries or sample local produce at the deli or food emporium. Travel a little further to the town of Seahouses and Beadnell for more beaches and coastal walks, or to the fantatsic Holy Island for more historic sites. The village’s sweeping sandy beaches and dramatic fortress - Bamburgh Castle - make Bamburgh one of Northumberland’s major visitor attractions. The castle can be seen for miles and dominates this part of the county’s coastline. Today it remains home to the family of the great Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open to the public on a daily basis. Although overshadowed by the great castle, Bamburgh village is picturesque with neat grey stone cottages facing a manicured village green. There are excellent pubs, hotels with restaurants and a small selection of village shops. There are golf courses in Bamburgh and nearby Seahouses, and within easy reach are more wide sandy beaches, lovely fishing villages, stunning castles and coastal islands to explore along the dramatic Heritage Coast. There are numerous other attractions also a short drive away, including the famous Alnwick Castle and Gardens and the historic walled border town, Berwick-upon-Tweed. A superb base for exploring Northumberland.

    The highlight of the holiday definitely had to be seeing the amazing Northern lights.

    The only gripe is the blue settee needs chucking out? It was uncomfortable three years ago and it still is. on the TV needs updating with the channels apart from that brilliant Holiday good location short walk to the beach good food in the middle pub thanks for having us see you next year
