Clock House combines beauty and rural charm into a wonderful Bamburgh holiday cottage. Skillfully converted by craftspeople who value heritage as much as modern comforts, the three-storey home is immaculate. It boasts a spacious living room with far-reaching views of the Cheviots, two ensuite bedrooms to sleep four, a west-facing patio to soak in the afternoon sunshine, and the privacy of a gated driveway with parking for three or four cars. Clock House is in Glororum, only 1.5 miles from Bamburgh and the spectacular Northumberland coast. It's excellent for families, friends, or couples who appreciate a second bedroom.

Glororum is an ancient farming hamlet just outside of Bamburgh. It's the ideal base for a self-catering Northumberland holiday, being close to Bamburgh's famous castle and amenities yet allowing you the vast views and scale of staying in the countryside. Anglers, cyclists, and golfers can bring their rods, bikes, and clubs with the happy knowledge that they have secure storage at the cottage when they are not in use. Although, with the wealth of road cycling, mountain biking, and golfing opportunities, you will hardly put them away.

For the rainy days the property features a home cinema system with sound bar including a 4K UHD Blue-ray player and a selection of 4K discs and blue-rays.

The iconic sight of Bamburgh Castle will take your breath away. The Grade I listed fortress symbolises power and protection and is visible for miles, including from the Clock House patio. The castle's collections are fascinating, as are regular events that include jousting and battle re-enactments, car shows, ghost tours, and a whole summer of fun for children. Bamburgh Beach, with its soft sand and gentle dunes, is arguably the most beautiful in the northeast, and you can't miss a trip to the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve at Budle Bay, just a mile from Clock House. Bamburgh has a wealth of independently owned shops and eateries. Morpeth and Berwick are also good for shopping; the former also has a bagpipe museum.

Your stay at Clock House will be memorable for all the right reasons. The peaceful location, spectacular landscape, centuries of history, and endless opportunities for adventure will ensure you're relaxed but never bored. Starting and ending every day at the cottage will be a highlight of a wonderful holiday.
