Guests appreciate the high standard of equipment, the proximity to local attractions, and the wildlife. While some cleanliness issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.

The lodge received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While many found it clean and well-presented, some guests noted issues with floors, dishes, and general hygiene. The concerns were not widespread, suggesting occasional lapses rather than a consistent problem.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to Bamburgh village, beaches, and local amenities. The views of the castle and wildlife add to the charm, although a few guests noted the distance to pubs and shops was slightly more than expected.

Guests consistently report that the lodge is comfortable, with special mentions of the quality of mattresses, bedding, and the warmth of the property. Some guests found the sofas and a mattress hard, but overall the comfort level is rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen equipment and entertainment options. Criticisms include issues with the hob, sharpness of knives, and the need for better kitchen utensils. The high quality of fixtures and fittings is acknowledged, despite some maintenance niggles.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as it pertains to gifts, as reviews do not consistently mention this aspect. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should not expect gifts as part of their stay.

Roomy. Some negatives: We asked for the bi-fold doors to be fixed. They said a maintenance man would come but he never did which meant we couldn’t use them which really wasn't very good at all as we’d have like that and it would have added to our holiday. The lights in bedrooms were basically useless - need proper bulbs. Would be better if the fences on patio was fully enclosed for kids and dogs. It was very very hot. Thankfully I’d bought a fan but think one or two should be provided. The hot water in tap was way too hot and needs considering for children. Otherwise a very nice stay. Lovely deco. Rooms decent size. Facilities to wash and cook were good although took us a while to work out the hob so better instructions would be good. Having a utility room was great. Views from place amazing and being in the corner meant we feel we had privacy and also good grass space for the door. Room for at least 3 cars. Very nice. Would defo stay again as all the things mentioned should be easy to fix.

Beds and pillows are very comfortable and the showers are great. The lodge has lovely countryside views from which you can see Bamburgh Castle . We walked into Bamburgh on the country footpath which took about 40mins or could drive there in less than 5 mins. Had a great holiday.

! The bi-folding doors looking onto cow fields and the quiet corner plot location were just absolutely brilliant. We had the best week here. It is worth noting that it gets very hot in summer if you don’t leave any windows open and dogs are not allowed to be left on their own, but we will 100% be back!!!
