Guests say

Fieldview House is a well-equipped, comfortable cottage with smart TVs, good Wi-Fi, and a lovely garden. It's situated in a convenient location for exploring Northumberland, with positive remarks about the views and local wildlife. Guests have enjoyed the thoughtful welcome packs, though some noted areas needing improvement.

Most guests found the property clean and comfortable, with one highlighting it as the best equipped they've stayed in. However, a few mentioned issues such as mould around the shower, unclean garden furniture, and a dirty bin bag on arrival, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its quiet setting and proximity to local attractions, including castles and the coastline. The ease of travel throughout the region is a recurring positive point, though the lack of a nearby shop was noted by one guest.

Guests generally found the property comfortable, with good-sized rooms and cosy furnishings. The beds received mixed reviews, with some finding them hard, but the single beds were complimented. The squeaky floorboards were a minor discomfort for some.

The facilities are well-regarded, with a fully stocked kitchen and secure garden. However, there were comments about maintenance issues such as peeling paint, overgrown gardens, and a temporary fix for the heating, suggesting room for improvement.

The welcome packs, including treats for dogs, were frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Everything we wanted. Last night there was a power cut in the area. We could not find the torch as described. We just used our phone torches Small point just to let the owner know. Would definitely go back.

Cosy for the odd evening when the temperature dropped. Thank you for the welcome chocolate cakes (delicious) and spritzers the flowers around the house were a lovely touch. Easy access to the coast and to the A1. Easy to find and access worked well. Thank you. We’d definitely stay here again if we were up In Northumberland.

The property was very comfortable Although was a little disappointed that there was a dirty bin bag left in the outer house The outer house could do with a deep clean Kitchen units, I had to wipe down as there was spillages down the front of the unit near the back door The bed was very comfortable The cottage is very central to visit Seahouses Alnwick and Bamburgh The garden was very secure for our dog was pleased to see that the Gardener had been as the back garden as well as the front garden was very unkept The Gardener cut the grass at the back The welcome Pack was much appreciated and nice thought On our arrival, I did message the owner as there was only one key in the key safe and when we turned the tap on in the kitchen, it came off and had water everywhere
