1 Pear Tree, a wonderful ground-floor apartment, is located just a short walk from the beach in the charming seaside hamlet of Beadnell in Northumberland. This beautiful apartment is great for a couple or lone traveller, with local amenities just a stone's throw and has all the home comforts you need for a self-catered trip. Step into your home-away-from-home to find a welcoming living/dining room with a Freeview TV and a soft sofa to curl up on. The kitchen/diner is equipped with an electric cooker for your home-cooked meals and a convenient slimline dishwasher to aid with cleaning. From here, proceed to the king-size bedroom for some rest, or perhaps take a bath before retiring to bed. When you're ready to explore, Beadnell is suitable for walkers, cyclists, and adventurers alike; the beach is just a short walk away, and rocky outcrops make the area scenic and ideal for exploring at any time of year. Watersports, restaurants, and small boutiques ensure that you will not be short of activities and romantic lunches out. Seahouses, a fishing village noted for its horse riding, golf, and excellent tea places, is only a few miles away, as is the charming harbour with puffins and grey seals. A little farther away lies the beautiful market town of Alnwick, which is known for its gardens, particularly the interesting poison garden, and its castle, which is home to the Duke of Northumberland. With plenty to see and do, make 1 Pear Tree your base.
Beadnell Bay, one of Northumberland's most scenic Heritage Coastlines, borders this tranquil port community. Beadnell was a Saxon fishing town and smuggler's shelter. It's still a fishing community, but tourists love its harbour and beautiful beaches. A café, two pubs, and a shop are in the village. Seahouses, a mile away, includes shops, restaurants, and boat cruises to the Farne Islands, a birdwatcher's paradise. Alnwick, with its Castle, Gardens, shops, bars, and restaurants, is a short drive away.

Beadnell is a quiet village in comparison to Bamburgh and Seahouses which are only a few minutes away by car. We very much enjoyed our stay in 1 Pear Tree and our holiday in this part of Northumberland. It proved an ideal base for visiting the heritage sites in the area as well as for taking walks on the coast. Food was good wherever we ate, and there was a warm and friendly reception everywhere.

Well equipped, Really good location, plenty to do on the doorstep and plenty of things a short distance away. If you love wildlife or birds a Farne Isles boat trip is highly recommend and if you get chance recommend a trip to Amble and a trip out with Puffin Cruises to Croquet Island, Castles and various other attractions in the area are great. Food! Highly recommend The Craster Arms and just a few steps from the door! Any of the Running Foxes. Lewis's Fish and chips in seahouses The cookie shop in seahouses and the ice cream shop next to the national trust shop in Seahouses All of the above do Gluten Free which was something we really needed if we wanted to eat out with one of us being a coeliac. Thank you for a great holiday and sure we will be back. M&R
