Widdrington is a village around eight miles north of Morpeth, and it's a great base for exploring Northumberland's countryside, which is good for walkers, cyclists, and birdwatchers. The local parish church, which is Grade I listed and dates from the Norman era, is dominated by the elevated ruins of Widdrington Castle, which dates from the 18th century. Druridge Bay Country Park is less than two miles distant, and Amble, the lively little harbour at the mouth of the River Coquet, is also conveniently accessible. Amble, once a boatbuilding centre, now has a marina, a port, sandy beaches, and coastal hikes to the Hauxley bird refuge. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall, landing a variety of fish, prawns, crabs, and lobsters, which may be purchased in the port's fish shop.

    The property goes way beyond the normal the xtra that the owners left was fantastic we are 84 and found the cream settee a little low to get out of I would recommend tartari 100% to anyone Tony and norma
