If you fancy getting out on the water, head down to the harbour to join one of the boat trips to the Farne Islands, where you can spend the day looking for puffins and grey seals. A 2-mile walk along the sandy shoreline brings you to neighbouring Bamburgh, known for its magnificent, 1,400-year-old castle perched on the edge of the cliff. There are some fantastic day trips to enjoy from Seahouses, including to the wild and rugged Holy Island of Lindisfarne (20 miles) and the picturesque market town of Alnwick (15 miles). For keen walkers, the long-distance Northumberland Coast Path passes through Seahouses.

Here, you’ll find a large dining table for al fresco dining and a quirky beach hut-style bar which you can stock with all your favourite tipples. There’s also a handy outdoor storage area for surfboards, bikes, and outdoor gear. Private parking is available for 1 car on the driveway, with an additional permit provided for the nearby car park (from Easter to early September).
