Mayflower Cottage is favourably positioned on the edge of the large village of Seahouses and is a couple of minutes walk to a wonderful sandy beach.
This property is stunning! 5* accommodation in a sought after location… just the ticket for larger groups looking for a celebration house with 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms - perfect for 12 people.
Accommodation is over three floors. The soft blue and white tones of the living room reflect the coastal location of the property. A spacious yet cosy room with woodburning stove and dark wood floors, TV, DVD, Bluetooth speaker, DAB radio. French doors lead onto the smart patio which comes complete with a table and chairs, a lovely spot to escape with a coffee and a magazine. The 26 ft kitchen diner is fully fitted with an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine (Tassimo) and washing machine. Upstairs Mayflower’s bedrooms include a couple of pretty children’s rooms with bunks and twin beds. All bedrooms are beautifully styled and well coordinated, the standard of finish continues in the two ensuites and a family bathroom which are all kitted out with first class fittings and soft fluffy towels.
Mayflower Cottage is a good base for exploring this beautiful area - visit the Farne Islands to observe the seabirds and the colony of Grey Seals. 3 miles north is the impressive Bamburgh Castle and 5 miles to Holy Island and Lindisfarne. (Can be reached at low tide along the causeway) The castle dramatically clings to a rocky outcrop. Just south of Seahouses is Beadnell Bay with its unique west facing harbour for sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Good golfing (0,.5 miles), fishing and horse riding available locally.
