Being positioned next to a working farm, it’s particularly lovely in the spring when the lambs are born but do be prepared to hear expected animal noises – it’s just the cows saying hello! The train line runs just past the cottage so you may spot the occasional train, but it’s very useful having Alnmouth train station just up the road for nipping up to Edinburgh or down to Newcastle.

The cottage was lovely! Nicely styled, well equipped and very comfortable. It was centrally situated for the places we wanted to visit and I also liked that it had a downstairs WC as well as the ensuite. We also enjoyed the variety of local produce in the welcome basket.

The Little Red Hen House is a lovely cottage, is very welcoming, and is nicely furnished. It was very comfortable and the location was well placed as we could get to many places easily and relatively quickly. A very enjoyable holiday. Thank you!
