Sedgefield 2.7 miles. Resting on the edge of the market town of Sedgefield, in the village of Foxton, County Durham, lies this lovely holiday home, North Farm. Perfect for friends and families alike, this property is conveniently located between two national parks and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is home to plenty of home comforts and gorgeous woodland views. Middlesbrough is accessible by car, brimming with tourist attractions such as Albert Park, the Middlesbrough Docks, and the Dorman Museum, which has a plethora of both permanent and rotating exhibits. Slightly further afield you can find the cathedral city of Durham, home to the eponymous Durham Cathedral and historic Durham Castle, the gorgeous grounds of the Old Durham Gardens and the Botanic Garden, as well as the stunning National Trust landmark location of Crook Hall Gardens. Bring your friends and family to enjoy an unforgettable stay in County Durham by booking North Farm.
In the English county of Durham, this mediaeval town is located close to the north of Stockton-on-Tees. Although it has a number of sporting facilities, such as a cricket, squash, and golf club, it is best known for its racetrack, which has a welcoming reputation and a laid-back ambiance. There are several activities happening all year round, including race meetings that date all the way back to 1846. You may have a great time out with the family at its restaurant, bistro, and bars. Although Stockton-on-Tees is a market town, it still contains many of its original yards. The most intriguing of these is Green Dragon Yard, which is home to Britain's oldest remaining Georgian Theatre as well as recording studios and two modern shopping centres. Rowing, canoeing, dragon boat racing, and leisurely strolls along the Tees Walkway are just a few of the watersports available on the town's River Tees, which can be reached by the Millennium Footbridge. The largest climbing adventure course of its sort in the UK, Air Trail is a great place to spend the day with the kids. There is plenty for everyone to enjoy, spread out across four levels with tight ropes, swinging stepping stones, and balancing beams dangling high above the River Tees. Middlesbrough has a thriving nightlife, a wide variety of dining, drinking, and shopping options, as well as a number of attractions that are well worth a trip, such as the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum, the Dorman Museum, the Institute of Modern Art, and Stewart Park, a 120-acre park with lakes and woodlands. Preston Park Museum and Grounds, Hardwick Hall Country Park, and Ormesbury Hall, owned by the National Trust, are more nearby sights that are well visiting. In this beautiful region of England, you can take any kind of vacation you choose.

3 generations of my family recently stayed here and North Farm had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you might need. The dining room table was huge, comfortably seated 9 of us, and there was an ample stack of board games to play. The living room seated us all in comfort, without the need for anyone to sit on the floor! It was, all in all, a wonderful place to stay.

The accommodation was festively decorated adding to itâs charm and cosiness. Every need was met with a warm welcome of a home baked cake and wine. Ocado delivery easily found the house despite the rural location. We had taken a selection of board games for the children but didnât need to as there were plenty available. The 9 of us enjoyed our roast dinner after cooking in a very well equipped kitchen and being able to keep the food hot in the server. It was a damp cold weekend so we didnât venture out much, only to walk our 2 dogs at the nearby Hardwick Park. (Well worth a visit) and on our return a convenient rear porch with dog towels made available. Highly recommend.
