Guests say

Cherry Croft is a highly praised cottage in Cumbria, renowned for its comfortable furnishings, high standards, and stunning views over the Solway coast. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, ideal for birdwatching and walking, and the modern amenities that enhance the stay. The property's cleanliness and the hosts' attentiveness contribute to a restful and enjoyable experience.

The property is consistently described as immaculate and extremely clean, indicating a high level of cleanliness that guests are very satisfied with.

The location is frequently highlighted for its beautiful views and peacefulness, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and nature activities. Its proximity to the Solway Firth and RSPB Campfield Marsh adds to its appeal.

Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage to be very comfortable and well-furnished. A minor issue with bedding being too warm for some guests slightly affects the score.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the modern touches like USB ports and smart TVs. However, suggestions for improvement such as a place for wet coats and a tray for boots indicate that there is room for enhancement in this area.

The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, including checking in on guests and providing free-range eggs. However, as gifts are not consistently mentioned by all reviewers, it is politely noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Warm & comfortable with everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. The owners have done an excellent job with this cottage. My son & I had a lovely time exploring the Cumbrian coast, Keswick & visiting The Joiners Arms & the Maia cafe for good meals.

So quiet, peaceful with great views. View over the estuary changes every day. Plenty to do locally, walk from the door or further afield. Good rail links from Carlisle (12m). Would recommend

The cottage is perfect in every way, just as described, clean, homely, easy access for all ages and abilities, but most of all, the breathtaking views both front and back. We also struck gold with the west coast weather, six days of w2w sunshine. Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered to us if that any different as we were equipped for all things British. Many thanks to the owners for a fantastic time. We'll be back! If not here, then Sonya's Cottage. Rob & Kate, Lincoln
