B’s Cottage is the perfect cosy getaway for those wanting to enjoy a holiday in the South Lakes. . Ground Floor:
Living room: With wood burner, 28" Freeview TV, DVD player and beams.
Kitchen/dining room: With gas oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and beams.. First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed.
Bedroom 2: With double bed.
Shower room: With walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs and coal for wood burner included.. Courtyard with garden furniture. Bike store. On road parking. No smoking. Please note: There is a fenced stream, 50 yards away. This property has a security deposit of £100.. B’s Cottage is part of a row of terraced cottages dating back to the 18th century. The beams and original stone fireplace have all been retained and there are photos which show how the road looked back in the Victorian era. This wonderful cottage boasts a relaxing living room with a large fireplace with a wood burner, there is an open plan dining room with a well equipped kitchen area. Through the back door is a courtyard for outside seating and a bike store. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and a modern bathroom.
The River Eea flows straight through Cark village and right in front of B’s Cottage. Cross over the quaint bridge for a 2-minute walk into the village centre where you have a choice of two local pubs with great food, a village shop and a hairdresser. Although you can access all amenities on foot from the cottage, there is plenty to see and do in the area, definitely worth exploring. The priory village of Cartmel is only 2 miles down the road, famous for its horse racing weekends, hosted four times a year, and also for its sticky toffee pudding, this quirky village is definitely worth a visit. Cartmel also offers a wine bar, independent shops, local pubs and two Michelin star restaurants for you to enjoy, so make sure you book!
If you want to discover more of the Lake District then just a 10-minute drive down the road you are in Newby Bridge, home to the Lakes Aquarium, Windermere Lake Cruises and the Haverthwaite steam train. South Lakes is known as the ’Gateway into the Lakes’, so you can easily access many popular towns around Cumbria including Ulverston, Ambleside, Coniston and Bowness-on-Windermere. Whether you are after a relaxing week away or want to use the cottage as a base to explore, there is one thing for sure, you will feel right at home here at B’s Cottage! Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 175 yards.
