You’ll find plenty to explore nearby, with the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty starting just 0.5 miles away, offering up a stunning landscape of open heather moors and peatlands, sweeping dales and hay meadows. The area is a haven for walkers and cyclists, or you can view the scenery from the comfort of a train by boarding a service on the Eden Valley Railway (0.5 miles). The delightful towns of Sedbergh and Penrith (20 miles) are also worth exploring.
