Situated in Appleby-in-Westmorland, surrounded by greenery, is this traditional, stone-fronted home, South Lodge. Just paces away from the lively high street and steeped in history with its location, this four-bedroom property is ideal for a group of eight. You can leave your vehicle in the public car park, which is just a short stroll away, before exploring your home-from-home. Entering the property, you will find an entrance hallway to house your shoes and coats and, on your left, discover the living/dining room. Relax and unwind on the sofa with a cup of tea in hand, as the TV keeps you entertained. When stomachs start to rumble, settle down at the dining table to tuck-into hearty meals, which can be prepared in the contemporary kitchen with the electric oven and gas hob. Afterwards, a dishwasher offers an easy clean-up, so why not venture out onto the wrap-around garden to savour a cold beverage? As day draws to night, retire inside, and opt for a hot shower on the ground floor or head upstairs to relax your muscles in a bubble-bath. When your head's ready to hit the pillow, choose between two doubles and a twin bedroom, all with ample storage and there is a ground-floor double for those with limited mobility. The medieval town of Appleby-in-Westmorland is situated in a loop of the River Eden, with the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the Lake District Fells visible on the western horizon. This is one of the loveliest towns in the north of England, set in the green Eden Valley and steeped in history. It was previously the county town of Westmorland. Appleby is set between the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales, allowing visitors to take advantage of the contrasting landscapes of these two National Parks, as well as various walking and cycling options and the town's superb leisure complex. Appleby boasts a fantastic assortment of high-quality independent businesses, cafes, and delicatessens that sell locally created food and crafts.
