Snaptrip says

Daffodil Cottage is appreciated for its convenience to local shops and a pub, and guests have enjoyed a welcome hamper. However, some guests noted issues with facilities and comfort, such as the lack of a handrail on stairs and a small bed. The property is suitable for small pets but may not be ideal for disabled guests or those with dogs.

Guests that stayed at this property said

There is insufficient information in the reviews to accurately assess the cleanliness of the property.

The cottage's location is praised for its proximity to local amenities and the village, making it convenient for touring the area. However, parking can be challenging and the proximity to a busy road and pub may affect tranquility.

Comfort is compromised by a small bed and limited space, with one guest mentioning the property felt cramped. The lack of a garden and the thin curtains affecting sleep quality were also concerns.

Facilities have room for improvement, with guests suggesting the need for an explanation booklet for heating and cooking appliances, oven gloves, and a handrail for safety. Maintenance issues such as a broken unit and loose door lock were also reported.

The welcome hamper was a thoughtful touch that guests appreciated, indicating consideration for guest comfort. However, it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

The village of Flookburgh, located on the borders of the great Lake District and close to the shores of Morecambe Bay, makes an excellent base from which to explore this fascinating and stunning region. It is believed that the name of the settlement is derived from the locally obtained fluke fish. Flookburgh, which is now home to cockle and shrimp fishermen, was originally a well-liked resting place for visitors coming from Lancaster across the dunes. The community has a pub, a grocery store, a pharmacy, a post office, and two eating establishments. A short walk from the settlement is lovely countryside, including Humphrey Head, views of the bay with its wading bird life, and Coniston's mountain range. The Cumbrian Coastal Way also passes close by. Historic Cartmel, with its lovely Priory, well-liked racecourse, antique and gift stores, bars and restaurants, including the Michelin Star-rated L'Enclume, is reachable in a few minutes by car or on a nice off-road stroll. The lovely Holker Hall house and gardens are just over a mile away, and just six miles to the north in Bigland you can go horseback riding. You can also visit the Edwardian resort of Grange, which has a variety of hotels, eateries, shops, a pedestrian promenade, ornamental gardens, and golf courses.

We live in a nearby village and used Daffodil Cottage as somewhere to live while we had a new kitchen fitted. I would not recommend the cottage for a holiday as it has no garden or view. However the pub and fish and chip shop (which also does Chinese takeaways) are useful. The kitchen is adequately equipped but only just (more spoons, especially serving spoons would be helpful). The bedroom is small and so has a small 4ft6in bed but there is plenty of storage space in it. More information about parking would have been helpful: it took us a couple of days to realise that the 'No Parking' sign in front of the cottage did not apply to us. However parking in the square (where there are useful shops) is free but there are not always spaces available. There are plenty of attractions in the area which is why we live here. Grange-over-Sands is a reasonable shopping place but I often wonder why tourists like it as the 'Sands' are not 'bucket and spade' beaches but dangerous areas with mud and quick-sands.
