Guests say

Wray Green is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views, peacefulness, and historical charm. Guests appreciate its remote location, ideal for countryside enjoyment and walks right from the doorstep. The property is described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a cosy stay with real log fires and a mix of traditional and modern amenities. While some guests encountered issues, the majority relished the tranquillity and character of this rural retreat.

The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being 'spotlessly clean' and well-maintained. One isolated report of dissatisfaction does not significantly impact the overall positive perception.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, tranquillity, and proximity to both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. It is described as remote and peaceful, which is exactly what many guests are seeking.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and homely feel. There are a few mentions of draughty windows and difficulty heating the property during bad weather, but these are seen as part of the property's rustic charm.

The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good Wi-Fi. However, some guests had issues with the DVD player and the Aga cooker, which suggests room for improvement in the maintenance of some amenities.

While many reviews express gratitude and appreciation for the experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.

Loved the wood burners- very effective. Useful information in the folder, worth a read through when you arrive as it has lots of local hints and tips re places to eat etc Very grateful you take dogs and porch perfect for their cage. We found an excellent dog park just the other side of Kirkby Stephen called Wellfield and it’s well worth a visit to let your dogs off lead for 50 minutes. Discovered you can walk to the waterfall that you can see from the little wooden gate. All in all heaven on earth. Thank you ladies for such a clean, tidy and totally wonderful place to stay. Hope to return.
