The property's cleanliness and the warm welcome, including thoughtful touches like a welcome pack, have been well-received, although some guests noted areas for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

The majority of reviews highlight the property's cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'spotless' and 'very clean'. However, a few guests mentioned a musty smell and suggested better ventilation, slightly affecting the score.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to walks and local attractions. The peaceful setting and easy access to Sedbergh and the surrounding areas are frequently mentioned as highlights.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and cosy living spaces. The property's multi-floor layout and the inclusion of a log burner contribute to its comfort. Some guests did note challenges with heating control.

While the kitchen and other amenities are generally appreciated, some guests noted the lack of a freezer and dishwasher, and issues with parking and wardrobe space. Maintenance issues like a leaking tap were also pointed out.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently commended, with mentions of welcome packs and fresh flowers. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

All you could need for a relaxing break close to the lakes. Fabulous walks from the door and great for dips in the lake (if you like that sort of thing!) We will definitely visit again.

It was great to be able to leave the car and do walks straight from the door. Beds comfortable and cottage very clean. There is a nice tearoom at Fairfield Mill a short stroll away and we enjoyed reading about the history of the old textile mill. Well placed for visiting the delightful town of Sedbergh, the Lakes and the Dales. Thank you for a relaxing holiday.
