Guests say

Eden Lodge in Ulverston is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its beautiful grounds, fantastic location, and suitability for large groups. The property offers a range of amenities including a hot tub, sauna, and games room, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The spacious kitchen and comfortable bedrooms are frequently highlighted, and the property's charm is enhanced by the presence of friendly animals on site.

Most guests find the property spotlessly clean, contributing to a relaxing stay. However, a few reviews mention issues with cleanliness such as fruit flies, cobwebs, and a musty smell in one room, which slightly detracts from the overall high standards of hygiene maintained at the property.

The location of Eden Lodge is highly praised for its strategic position in the Lake District, offering easy access to local attractions and activities. The proximity to Ulverston town and the coast adds to the appeal, with guests enjoying the surrounding natural beauty and convenience.

Guests consistently report a high level of comfort at Eden Lodge, with comfortable beds and spacious communal areas. Some guests mention rooms becoming warm and issues with cold radiators, but these are relatively minor concerns compared to the overall comfort experienced.

The facilities at Eden Lodge, including the kitchen, hot tub, and games room, are generally well-received. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as radiator leaks, problematic dishwashers, and a need for more kitchen utensils. The Wi-Fi connection is also noted as an area for improvement.

While many guests express satisfaction with their stay, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The village itself is located close to Furness Abbey, whilst the market town of Ulverston is just two miles away, and maintains its street market tradition, hosting one every Thursday and Saturday throughout the year. Ulverston is also the location for many festivals including an amazing lantern procession in November and a Dickensian weekend in early December. we found the cleanliness to be of a high standard and it was fantastic that all the rooms were ensuite. we had a young child in our group and it was very enjoyable to see the small holding of animals which were friendly enough to be petted. towels and bed linen were also of a high standard although shampoo and conditioner etc were not provided for the bathrooms. A well stocked kitchen with pots and pans but guests do need to bring their own clingfilm/ tinfoil/ dish washer tablets/ bin liners / extra tea towels. A kitchen roll, one dishwasher tablet, a fairy liquid, two scourers and two dishcloths were provided. Good selection of board games for the family to play . We had a multigenerational family get together and the space was superb for everyone

It was ideal for our stay and we had everything we could need. The kitchen has everything you need and ample facilities to cater for the large party. Rooms were comfortable and clean with many rooms with great views. Our main reason for booking was the slightly more secluded apartment which was fantastic for the pregnant parents and their toddler but still close enough to feel part of the party. The grounds are well kept and access to the beach is very easy. The support we received was great as well when we called looking for a few items. Couldn’t recommend this property enough!

.The kitchen was great for meal prep, There was space for the little ones to play and they loved the animals in the garden. The older ones enjoyed the games room, sauna and jacuzzi. Dining. Was a dream. Walking the dogs from the property was easy. The week was over all too quickly.
