Guests are delighted with the beautifully restored Stone Cross Mansion, praising its stunning entrance, high-spec decor, and well-equipped apartments. The property's cleanliness, modern amenities, and thoughtful welcome packs contribute to a luxurious experience. The communal hall with games and the well-maintained grounds offer additional enjoyment. Its proximity to Ulverston and local shops adds convenience, despite minor issues with internet and power.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing the apartments as 'very clean' and contributing to the overall luxury experience.

The property is appreciated for its easy walk into Ulverston and proximity to shops, with an M&S Food just a 2-minute walk away, enhancing the convenience for guests.

The apartments are noted for their comfortable furniture and high-end appliances. One guest suggested the addition of a grab rail in the bathroom for safety, but overall comfort is highly rated.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the communal hall with games and outdoor sports. However, a few issues with internet connectivity and a power trip slightly affect the score.

Guests are pleased with the welcome packs, which include tea, coffee, and other items. While these are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

Ulverston is an old-fashioned market town with a cobblestone central street. There are many unique stores, cafes, and pubs to explore, all of which serve up delicious food and cold pints of beer. A wide variety of restaurants, from upscale eateries to neighbourhood pubs, are available to satisfy any appetite. Ulverston is well-known as a festival town, hosting events like the Flag and Walking Festival, the Art and Music Festival, and the World-Famous Dickensian Christmas Festival, all throughout the summer and into late November. Stan Laurel was born in this town, and the annual foam pie fight held there holds the record for largest in the world. Great walks in scenic countryside with views of Morecambe Bay and the southern Lake District can be found all around the town. The deepest, widest, and shortest canal in the world can be found here, and it makes for a great afternoon stroll with a pub and bay views at its conclusion. The National Park's various points of interest can also be quickly and conveniently reached. Sand beaches and excellent birdwatching can be found along the Furness Coast. The South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Lakes Windermere and Coniston, and the breathtaking views of Morecambe Bay from Birkrigg Common are all within easy driving distance and are great for families.

Excellent instructions for arrival and departure. Plenty of well marked parking. Very nice apartment. Views lovely. Nice and quiet( September) . Great there is a lift. Sadly the very posh espresso machine would not work ( simple Tassimo would be much better). Odd to have an oven plus microwave / oven? Also to use the microwave you need to remove the metal shelf and metal side supports!! ( I would have remembered about the shelf but not the side supports!!) Beds were very comfortable ( except 2.5' wide is very restrictive for an adult!) pillows very comfortable. Great shower. We will return !!

Everything about the mansion's apartments are perfect, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need (inc tea/coffee/milk /biscuits/bottled water). The communal space is stunning with activities and seating areas tucked away and the grounds are fabulous with lots of outdoor sports and hidden gems. Ulverston is in walking distance but be aware that the restaurants are very busy in summer so pre booking (by at least a week) is a must but there is an Aldi and M&S food hall 2 minutes away to stock up in. We will definitely be back with friends and family in the future.

All was perfect! The only tiny comment … I couldn’t open any of the windows in the lounge …this was a shame as some fresh air would have been welcome.
