Settled in the small village of Fence, Lancashire, is this semi-detached, family-friendly house, The Old Post Office. Set above the former village post office, now an ironing shop run by the holiday home owner, this lovely abode is a great base for a family of four or couples, with the Forest of Bowland AONB and the Yorkshire Dales nearby, and off-road parking, contemporary amenities, and an enclosed, private garden. Climb the stone steps, kick off your boots in the hallway, and make yourself at home in the living/dining room. A sociable space for dining and relaxing by the warmth of the electric fire, you'll find a dining table for four, two plush armchairs, and a wall-mounted TV. The well-equipped, contemporary kitchen is just next door with everything you need for a self-catering stay, including an electric oven and grill, gas hob, washer/dryer and dishwasher. After dinner, head upstairs to find the beautifully furnished sitting room with a cushioned sofa, two Chesterfield armchairs, and a TV for entertainment, plus a second electric fire. Everything we needed for our break away. Lots to do in the area, plenty of nice places to eat. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful. The cottage is very well equipped and so comfortable. We spent 3 weeks at the Old Post Office and it was a real home from home.
