Guests have had a delightful experience at 3 Yealands, praising its well-equipped kitchen, spaciousness, and quiet location. The lodge is pet and child-friendly, with a secure outside area and a play park nearby. It serves as a great base for exploring the Lake District, with many appreciating the homely touches and cleanliness.
Most guests found the lodge to be clean and tidy, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, one review mentioned mouldy dog biscuits and a bread bin left with bread, indicating occasional oversights.
The location is frequently described as beautiful and quiet, ideal for relaxation and well-situated for exploring the Lake District. Some road noise was mentioned but did not detract significantly from the overall experience.
The lodge is generally considered comfortable and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and lounge area. One guest found the furniture uncomfortable, and another mentioned the bed size for a tall individual, suggesting room for improvement in comfort for all guests.
While the reviews highlight a range of kitchen appliances and a secure outside area, there is insufficient information to fully assess the maintenance of facilities. One review mentioned a damaged shower seal, but without more feedback, a fair score cannot be determined.
The owner's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of items such as dishwasher tablets, games, Netflix, and even fleeces for dogs. While these gestures are highly appreciated, guests should note that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed.

The description of it was vague. Please note that there is no shop or bars or anything on site unless you are willing to risk the traffic on A6. The beds are small and elderly larger people do not fit in them. You can't move beds to push together for safety. The suite in lounge area is uncomfortably low and after just two days we had decided to cut the holiday short. The insurance is next to useless..it doesn't cover much at all. You can't use your Netflix account as it won't take owners details off so you can put in your own. The site is not dog friendly as they are building more caravans on the only bit of woodland and have shut the road off with cones and the sound of lorries starts about 7.30 in morning. Please note if your dog gets out by mistake there is a pond and ducks .. very close. Had this been a child instead of my dog it would have been a disaster. Sykes did ask if we wanted to move but it was too late as the holiday was a total wash out by then.

We have had a lovely week and feel so relaxed, first time booking a lodge and we were not disappointed, everything you need is there to enjoy your holiday. Carole, the owner responded quickly to questions,, I now know to use a gas oven the hob lid needs to be lifted. We were lucky to have fabulous weather and took advantage of sitting outside on the decking, comfy chairs available that were in the storage cupboard. There is everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels and also fleeces to cover the sofas for your doggie to snuggle in.

I would definitely book again
