Guests say

Birch Lodge in Carnforth receives high praise for its spotless condition, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches by the owner, Carolyn. Guests consistently mention the homemade bread and jam, adding a personal touch to a well-equipped and homely lodge. The location is ideal for exploring the Lake District and surrounding areas, with on-site facilities adding to the convenience. Despite some mentions of traffic noise, it does not detract from the overall positive experience.

Reviewers unanimously commend the lodge for its spotlessness and high standard of cleanliness, with many emphasising the immaculate condition upon arrival.

The location is frequently described as ideal for exploring nearby attractions, though some guests note the presence of traffic noise from the M6, which slightly impacts the tranquillity.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the lodge well-furnished, contributing to a relaxing and homely stay.

The on-site facilities, including a restaurant, bar, and leisure club, are praised, though there is no direct mention of maintenance. The availability of amenities within the lodge itself is highly regarded.

The owner's thoughtfulness is highlighted through special touches like homemade bread and jam. While these gifts are warmly received, they are a personal gesture and may not be a standard offering for every stay.

We picked a quiet week which suited us and we just had a good week doing nothing apart from watching our neighbouring rabbit coming out from under another lodge every day at 5 on the dot. I think the park has something for everyone of every age and our lodge was just right for us. On arrival the owner even left us a nice home made loaf. Tea and toast followed quickly.

The lodge was fully equipped, and immaculate. The double bed was very comfortable. A large TV, with a good choice of channels, and a strong WiFi signal. We used the cooking facilities, but if you prefer takeaways, or eating out, there was a lot around the site. We could tell upon arrival that the owners care for this lodge, and it’s a credit to the them..It is beautifully maintained. One negative…sorry, there isn’t one…looking forward to rebooking when the opportunity arises, thanks again..
