High Fellside Hall is consistently praised for its stunning location, exceptional facilities, and comfort, making it ideal for large groups and family gatherings. Guests are particularly impressed with the indoor pool, well-equipped kitchen, and spacious rooms offering beautiful views. The property's cleanliness and the host's responsiveness add to the positive experience, although minor maintenance issues are noted.
Guests have highlighted the property's outstanding cleanliness, with one minor mention of finding a sock and power bank behind furniture. This indicates a high level of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location receives high praise for its beauty and the lovely views it offers. It is described as stunning and amazing, suggesting that guests are extremely satisfied with the property's setting.
The comfort of the property is well-regarded, with guests mentioning comfortable beds, a large dining area, and suitable accommodations for individuals with mobility issues. The overall comfort level is considered very high.
Facilities such as the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna are highly appreciated. However, the score reflects minor issues like missing remote controls and empty hand soaps, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
While guests have expressed appreciation for the welcome box of treats, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are a consistent practice or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.
Sedbergh 3.5 miles. High Fellside Hall, a magnificent, detached farmhouse, with its own private leisure centre, is set in its own grounds on a high hillside above the Lune Valley, just three and a half miles from Sedbergh and ten miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. A most enviable location with five acres of its own grounds, direct access to open and dramatic moorland including Barbon Fell and magnificent all-round views of this beautiful corner of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Transformed in 2008 from a former farmhouse, no expense was spared in creating this three-storey holiday home, with high tech installations throughout, integrated sound systems, sophisticated lighting systems, modern building techniques, underfloor heating throughout and the latest in solar power which all go together to provide a holiday home of considerable merit. Featuring a first-class purpose-built leisure facility which takes up the whole of the lower ground floor. Again, little expense has been spared in setting up this first-rate facility which includes a fabulous fifteen metre heated swimming pool, a separate steam room and sauna, a built in sunken seven-seater Jacuzzi and a spiral staircase leads down to a small yoga/pilates area. The whole area is detailed with a polished stone tiled surround with a delightful seating area, a reflective bespoke ceiling, integrated lighting systems and the full-length windows afford excellent views across the Lune valley. The main entrance leads through into a generously proportioned kitchen, fitted to a very high specification with polished granite worktops, limestone tiling, a Rangemaster 3 cooker with gas hob and hot plate, Belfast sink and adjoining pantry with impressive drinks fridge. The adjoining dining room enjoys twin French doors out onto a south facing sun terrace. A large space able to seat the group in comfort and an ideal location to enjoy a sumptuous, cooked meal, relax and take in the wonderful views. An open hallway with full length windows, a beautiful limestone floor and gallery leads guests through to a comfortable snug with stylish furniture, a welcoming wood-burner and patio doors leading out onto the main south facing patio area. A great spot to open a bottle of your favourite tipple and catch up with old friends. The main living area, which is of generous proportion with a fine feature carved stone fire surround fitted with a multi-fuel stove, beautiful oak flooring, a piano for the talented ones in the group and a range of stylish furnishings to create a great space to sit and relax after a hard day’s walking on the nearby moorland. On the first floor there are six impeccably-designed bedrooms, all with wonderful far reaching views, a feature Juliet balcony in one, old beams, oak flooring and luxurious en-suites, whilst the ground floor bedroom has an adjoining shower room making it the perfect choice for anyone with limited mobility. The main house bathroom boasts a free-standing slipper bath and separate wet room shower facility. A useful boot room provides a good drying area, a utility area with washer dryer, a useful basin and there is a cloakroom in the main galleried hallway. Outside, there is a spacious parking area, formal gardens, three separate seating areas providing havens of peace and quiet and lovely lawned areas to enjoy a picnic whilst admiring the 360-degree views, watching the local farmers tending their cattle and spring lambs. Ideal for discovering Wainwright's beloved Howgills, the nearby Cautley Spout, Britain's highest waterfall, and dramatic Dentdale, while the local area is home to many varieties of wildlife including buzzards and deer. The small town of Sedbergh, home to the much-loved Farfield Mill Art Gallery and your local amenities including a convenience store, pubs and restaurants, and the attractive market town of Kirkby Lonsdale are a short drive away, whilst the Lune Valley, the fascinating White Scar Cave, Ingleton Waterfalls Walk and Wensleydale creamery are all within easy reach of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. High Fellside Hall, a stunning location offering excellent holiday accommodation with everything you could wish for.
The attractive old market town of Sedbergh (pronounced Sed-Ber), with its old-world atmosphere, is not only set in the magnificent western dales of the Yorkshire Dales National Park but is also close to the rugged eastern fells of the Lake District. The town, with its narrow streets, little shops, traditional pubs, famous school dating back to 1525 and its 12th century church, has been a thriving community for hundreds of years, with a market dating from the 13th Century. Leading from Sedbergh is Dentdale, the jewel of the Yorkshire Dales with its rolling hills and dry-stone walls, stretching 14 miles from the windswept moors below Whernside to the confluence of the Rivers Dee and Rawthey. At the centre of the dale is Dent, with its cobbled streets, which has existed since Norman times and nearby Dent railway station is on the renowned Settle-Carlisle railway line. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, and fishing, and the area is a paradise for walkers, ramblers, runners, and cyclists. This, together with the tranquillity of the surrounding valleys, the two National Parks and it being England's book town, makes an ideal year-round holiday destination.

Mrs Christina Wilkinson
We took my mum (with late stage Alzheimerâs) and dad (who has mobility issues) and both were very comfortable in the ground floor bedroom and at the large dining table with room for everyone. My sister has 9 children ranging from age 7-20, and they enjoyed using the facilities, especially the swimming pool and playing in the grounds. We wouldâve like to have stayed longer! My daughter is training to be a chef, so she was cooking for everyone. The kitchen was amazing and had everything she needed. Utensils and equipment were all high end and we had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and towels and bedding were clean and very good quality. We had a lovely time. Some of the TVs had remotes missing. We found a sock and power bank behind furniture when we were looking for the remotes!

Some of the hand soaps were empty so it would be good to ensure they're all full before each rental, other than that 10/10
Mr Raj Mistry
We have stayed in a number of feature properties across the country over the years and I would genuinely say this is the best one yet. The facilities were perfect for a large group and the attention to detail to cater for a large parties was very well thought through. The owners of the property made the stay perfect - great communication, friendly and welcoming. Thank you!
