Market Square Maisonette, is a fabulous two-bedroom holiday home located in the beautiful town of Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. This home offers all the comforts you could want and is close to local amenities and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, so you can explore the area with ease. Step into your new home-from-home, find the kitchen, where you can prepare a scrumptious meal for your loved ones and indulge in it in the living/dining room, with its electric fire and inviting atmosphere. Finish the evening with a glass of wine in the enclosed rear courtyard, where you can make the most of the patio furniture for alfresco dining. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms - a king-size and a double - perfect for two couples or a family. An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country".

Centrally situated in the town but no noise problem while we were there. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented. We have relatives in the area and next time we travel to see them we will certainly check out availability so that we might rebook. We parked down the footpath near Devils Bridge which is only a short walk so found this convenient. Canât think of anything to moan about even if we tried! The wine and other items were appreciated.

Beautiful inside and out. So handy it is on the doorstep to walk to Devils bridge, pop out to the lovely shops and eateries around Kirby Lonsdale. This property is home from home. Absolutely adorable. Furnished beautifully. Everything you can think of is to hand. Perfect holiday property. Didn't want to come home. We will definitely be back Vicki. Also Vicki left us complimentary refreshments in the fridge and there is tea and coffee in jars. Outdoor cushions if you wish to sit outside. Market day on Thursday. A lovely welcome surprise to 7A Market Square was a fabulous bottle of prosecco and some Lindt chocolates. We felt totally spoiled and we can't wait to come back. Topclass and highly recommended.
