Plenty of nearby activities for adults and children, good eating locations and excellent walks for all levels of activity. Can thoroughly recommend The Highwayman at Burrow near Kirkby Lonsdale for excellent food and ales. Janet, the owner, is extremely helpful and responsive to contact - only too willing to help. All-in-all, the family party of 10 enjoyed a wonderful week.
