Just a short drive from the cottage you will find yourself in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, famous for waterfalls, caving and climbing. The South Lake District is only a 20 minute drive away, and offers attractions such as the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum and Holker Hall Gardens, this is all before you reach Lake Windermere! Within 25 minutes south on the M6, you can find yourself in the historic city of Lancaster, or by the seaside town of Morecambe. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2¼ miles.
