In the warmer months, make the most of the communal front courtyard furnished with seating, offering a delightful spot to relax and appreciate the stunning views of Derbyshire. Enjoy the fresh air with a refreshing drink in hand, while you discuss your plans for the upcoming days. When it's time to retire for the night, you'll discover a twin bedroom (zip/link) equipped with a Smart TV for leisurely mornings. Additionally, the double sofa bed accommodates up to two additional guests. Before drifting into a peaceful slumber, pamper yourself with a freshen up in the walk-in shower, before completing your evening routine. For an enchanting getaway in Derbyshire, Monsal Dale stands as the ideal choice, offering a blend of comfort and convenience in a picturesque setting.
Lying at the southern end of the Peak District, Ashbourne is a perfect example of an English market town - market place with stalls, eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses. In its heyday in the 18th-century, the town was a fashionable social centre, and many fine Georgian buildings remain from this period. Today the town still has much to offer in terms of restaurants and inns and is regarded as something of a haven for antique hunters - but don’t expect a bargain! For those who prefer more outdoor pursuits, the Dove and Manifold Valleys are close by and for thrill seekers Alton Towers with its exciting collecting of rides and attractions is just a short drive away.
