Youlgreave 2.8 miles. Dale View Cottage is a superb semi-detached barn conversion resting in Gratton near Youlgreave, Derbyshire. Enjoying a stunning location within the Peak District National Park, Dale View Cottage provides the perfect base for an unforgettable stay. This pet-friendly property benefits from several off-road parking spaces, and a lovely garden where you can enjoy a cup of coffee as you admire the breath-taking countryside views. Look forward to conjuring your best dishes in the well-equipped kitchen/diner, ready to enjoy at the dining table as you plan the following days itinerary. Why not take part in one of the owner’s blacksmith courses at Peak Blacksmithing which are held on weekends? Ideal for trying something different whilst you’re away! After dinner, retire to the sitting room, where you can relax on the plush sofas and choose your favourite film to watch on the TV. Head upstairs, where you can freshen up after the day’s adventures with your choice of bath or shower in the well-appointed bathroom. When sleep calls, two beautifully decorated bedrooms await, a king-size with striking exposed beams and a lovely double. Your local amenities can be found in nearby Youlgreave, where you can stock up on essentials at the Post Office and village shop, pick-up fresh bakes to take back to your cottage from Peak Feast or enjoy a delicious meal without the fuss of cooking at The Bulls Head. If you fancy the walk, the renowned Limestone Way trail will lead you towards Winster right from your front door. Continue onto Bakewell, where you can enjoy leisurely strolls along the River Wye, try a traditional Bakewell Pudding from The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop, or test out your swing at the excellent Bakewell Golf Club. Bakewell, Matlock, Chatsworth House, and the Peak Rail Steam Railway are all nearby, and The Limestone Way runs along the edge of the village for walkers and cyclists.
