Haddon Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom dwelling settled on the delightful Burton Manor working dairy farm in Bakewell, Derbyshire. Benefitting from views of the rolling countryside and a plethora of scenic walking and cycling trails, thanks to its location within the stunning surroundings of the Peak District National Park, Haddon Cottage is an idyllic base for a family of four or couples. Leave your car in the off-road parking space, before unloading your bags and entering your new home from home. Step into the living/dining room, where you can look forward to relaxing with your loved ones on the plush sofas whilst your favourite show plays out on the large TV. Prepare a delicious feast in the well-equipped kitchen, which can be enjoyed at the dining table for four, or alfresco out in the shared garden. After dinner, why not head over to the shared utility/games room for a game of table tennis? The space also includes an extra fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer, perfect for keeping your holiday wardrobe fresh! When sleep calls, retire to one of two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both with plenty of storage for your belongings. In the morning, prepare for the day ahead with a refreshing shower in the well-equipped shower room, featuring support rails making ideal for those with limited mobility. Attractive little market town with a pleasant country atmosphere that has many shops, restaurants, and pubs as well as farmers' markets. The town's historic market hall dates back to the 17th century, and a contemporary recreation facility with a swimming pool can be found nearby. For those who want to explore the Peak District National Park, Bakewell is the ideal starting point. Alton Towers, the UK's most popular theme park, is just a short drive away from the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. Stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall are just a few of the many that can be visited, as are the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and the resting place of Little John in Hathersage. Visit Frank Matcham's impressive Edwardian Opera House in Buxton, which he also designed, if you're in the area.
