Guests consistently praise Kerry Cottage for its immaculate cleanliness, comfortable amenities, and convenient location within walking distance to Bakewell's centre. The property is well-equipped, offering a cosy and homely atmosphere, and is an ideal base for exploring the Peak District. While some guests mention gifts, these thoughtful touches enhance the welcoming experience.
Reviewers frequently highlight the cottage's exceptional cleanliness, describing it as immaculate, spotless, and well-maintained, which indicates a high standard of hygiene and care.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to Bakewell's town centre and local attractions, with guests appreciating the easy walk and beautiful views, despite the mention of a steep hill.
Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the cottage cosy, spacious, and well-furnished, providing a relaxing environment for their stay.
Facilities are well-regarded, with guests mentioning the well-equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, and comfortable lounge. However, one guest noted the kitchen felt gloomy, and another mentioned the hot water temperature was not sufficient for a bath, slightly lowering the score.
Guests often express gratitude for the thoughtful gestures such as wine and biscuits. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, although delightful, are not guaranteed with every stay.
A superb cottage, beautifully presented to a very high standard and in Bakewell, one of the best locations for a holiday in the Peak District.
A proper home-from-home cottage set in the quieter part of Bakewell, a sweet market town well-known for its delicious pudding. This cottage is attractively decorated inside with a super modern bathroom, well-fitted kitchen and the original fireplace and coal effect gas fire in the comfortable lounge to keep you toasty after a day discovering what the beautiful surrounding areas have to offer.
Head straight into Bakewell and scout out the array of fabulous shops and visit the atmospheric outside market every Monday. Grab a proper Bakewell Pudding from The Original Bakewell Pudding Shop and head to the hills to soak up the breathtaking countryside views. With plenty of local activities to keep you busy, you must visit Monsal Trail - a peaceful place for walkers, cyclists and even horse riders. Enjoy dinner out in the town at one of the many excellent restaurants or pubs. The nearby River Wye makes the perfect scene to photograph or paint if you’re feeling creative. Alternatively have a tranquil evening stroll to Calver Edge before heading back to base where you’ll be able to relax for the rest of the evening and plan tomorrow’s venture.

Mrs Blessing
We spent one week as a family of four in that cottage and absolutely loved it. It's really well-equipped and super cozy but large enough for a family of four! Parking was also not a problem as we always found a spot in front of the house. It's not far by foot from Bakewell city centre, though the way back is up the hill and probably not for people with walking difficulties. Contact with the owner Helen was also great and we really liked all the little helpful notes that she left all over the cottage as it shows that she is really committed in making things easier for the guests. We would definitely come again if possible!

A wonderful, clean, well proportioned property, situated up the hill, half a mile from the shops. Fantastic views from the front bedroom, Well stocked kitchen, on road parking plus a parking space further away. No probelms finding space there anyway! It was a great base for exploring and spacious rooms great for relaxing in.
