Beautifully appointed throughout, creating a lovely, romantic retreat, this cosy cottage is perfect for couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and discover the beauty of the Derbyshire countryside. Situated solely over the ground floor, boasting underfloor heating, the cottage offers an open plan living area with an antique double bed, a kitchenette, and a sitting area. After a day spent walking, retire to the sitting room with a glass of wine and discuss the days adventures. There is also a shower room and outside, a patio with furniture with a hot tub and private summerhouse where you can sit and enjoy a morning cup of tea as you marvel at the glorious, rolling countryside surrounding you. The lovely, rural hamlet of Alport offers an array of walks right from your doorstep, while a little further away Youlgreave offers a small local shop, a fantastic butcher, a Post Office, and a number of good pubs serving food. Slightly further afield, the market town of Bakewell boasts its own selection of shops, pubs, and restaurants, all waiting to be sampled. Explore the many wonderful walks and cycle routes across the Peak District, including the scenic, traffic-free routes of the High Peak Trail and the Monsal Trail. Explore Chatsworth House and its exquisite gardens, or discover the stately Haddon Hall, both easily reached in the car.
