Enjoy the history of the nearby plague village of Eyam, the caves at Castleton or visit the historic market town of Bakewell with many individual shops and market.

Buxton is a short drive away and if you wish to experience theatre or a concert, then a trip to the famous Buxton Opera House is to be recommended. You enter the cottage which is contemporary in style throughout, with fabrics and furnishings having been carefully coordinated – into the well equipped galley kitchen with all the essentials you will require for your stay. There are two doors from the kitchen, one to the hall, the other to the separate dining room with beamed ceiling, flagged floor, exposed limestone wall and the welcoming log burning stove inset in a gritstone fireplace - a door off the dining room leads onto the lounge which also accesses the hall. The good sized beamed lounge, with oak floor enjoys a further log burning stove inset in a gritstone fireplace. The oak tread spiral staircase takes you to the first floor landing. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the second having two single beds, with further oak floors throughout this floor. The bathroom has a rolled top double ended bath, with shower over, toilet and hand basin. There is a small lawned garden and patio area.
