Whip up a banquet on the range cooker and enjoy your feast around the luxurious dining room table before settling in for an evening around the fire. Alternatively, take your favourite drop out onto the patio and enjoy watching the sunset over the valley. 

If you can bear to drag yourself away from the cottage, you will have plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. For a trip back in time, hop on a steam or diesel train operated by Peak Rail from Matlock to Rowsley, or head for nearby Crich Tramway Village and pay an old penny to ride on a vintage tram. Visit the stunning Chatsworth House or if you have a head for heights, why not ride the Heights of Abraham cable cars, soaring above the Derwent Valley and into the village in the sky. But make sure you get back in time to sip a real ale in the nearby Grouse pub! After a hard day exploring, why not take advantage of the use of the nearby spa with a pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi; a relaxing and well-needed treat.
