A lovely limestone cottage on the edge of Youlgreave village with wonderful views over beautiful Bradford Dale.

With idyllic views from every window, Lower Ivy cottage is the place to stay. Located in one of the biggest villages throughout the whole of the Peak District, this 18th-century delight has been beautifully renovated with a mixture of modern facilities and original features. After preparing your masterpiece in the fully equipped kitchen, settle in front of the glowing log burning fire with a hot chocolate or take your favourite beverage out to the garden and simply take in the amazing views. 

Take a 5-minute stroll into Youlgreave, a lively, bustling village with a range of shops, cafés and three pubs or take a picnic down to the trout pools and watch out for kingfishers and herons trying to catch their dinner. If you have time to venture further afield, there are many other attractions close by. Take a ride on a steam train or cable car in Matlock Bath, have a famous pudding in Bakewell or soak up history at the famous Chatsworth House. For the more adventurous, why not give water-rafting, cavern exploring or castle storming a try!

    Convenient cosy well-appointed cottage, great base for walks and trips, amid gentle picturesque landscape. Interesting bird life just looking from the window. Friendly caretaker, friendly locals in the pubs and YHA cafe. We’d have liked to have stayed longer than a week.

    Lovely cosy cottage and garden. Very well situated, superb views, fantastic location. Fantastic walks straight from the cottage Lovely shop and pub. Close to Bakewell and Chatsworth House Good base for exploring all the Peak District. This year is the fifth time we have stayed there. We love it!!!!
