Its proximity to Buxton and local amenities like supermarkets is noted as convenient, though some guests mention road noise. Reviews frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as 'fabulous, clean and very tidy'. There are no significant complaints about cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.

The location is appreciated for its convenience to Buxton and local walks. However, several reviews mention the property being on a busy road, affecting sleep quality due to noise, which slightly lowers the score.

Guests find the property comfortable, highlighting cosy communal areas and well-decorated rooms. The presence of multiple bathrooms and hot showers contributes to the comfort. Some minor suggestions for additional furniture do not detract significantly from the overall comfort experienced.

The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, but some guests note the absence of a washing machine and suggest the addition of a larger fridge. Maintenance issues like door handles coming off are mentioned, indicating room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

About this property

Nestled in the heart of Buxton, just paces away from attractions and eateries lies this grand, four-storey holiday home, 95 Dale Road. Brimming with character, with a woodburning stove, feature fireplaces and a stone-fronted exterior, this property is ideal for a large group of friends or a family. Park up at the foot of the home on the driveway and make your way inside to discover glass-stained windows. Kick-off your muddy boots and house them in the boot room, ready for an adventure-filled day. Unwind in the sitting room on the plush sofas and let the gas fire warm your toes as you watch your favourite shows on the TV. Step over to the kitchen/diner with its lovely herringbone floor, here the designated chef can use the electric range cooker and hob to rustle up tasty dishes for the group. Settle down at the dining table and why not uncork a bottle of fizz to celebrate your getaway? On warm evenings, open the bi-fold doors to dine alfresco in the courtyard, as well as bike storage. Climb upstairs to the first floor where you will discover a bathroom and three king-size bedrooms, one with a freestanding bath for a soak. There are three more beautiful king-size bedrooms on the second floor, as well as two more stylish bathrooms. Each floor offers a cloakroom with a WC too, so you don't need to worry about morning queues. Awaken with a refreshing rinse in the walk-in shower or melt your stresses away in a freestanding bath. If you can tear yourself away from this marvellous home, set out on foot to enjoy a home-cooked breakfast at a quirky café. Buxton has something for everyone, uncover its rich history at Buxton Museum & Art Gallery, watch live performances at Buxton Opera House and admire the landscaped gardens at The Pavilion Gardens. Be sure to visit the market town of Bakewell, home to the famous pudding (Bakewell tart) and the Tudor design of Haddon Hall. You can sample branded beer at Thornbridge Brewery, along with a guided tour too! Escape the hustle and bustle with a road-trip to the wonderful Peak District National park; explore the dramatic landscape on foot, two wheels or horseback to truly enjoy the experience. For memories you will cherish, secure a stay at 95 Dale Road.

The boiling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs, which are always 28 degrees Celsius, originally drew the Romans to the town. The Palladian beauty of today's Buxton was constructed and developed during the 18th and 19th centuries, under the patronage of successive Dukes of Devonshire, and includes the majestic semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable, Hall Bank, The Square, The Pavilion Gardens, and The Opera House. Visitors can still enjoy these spectacular buildings and gardens, as well as the complete programme of the Opera House and annual music and arts events.

Beautifully decorated and with generous sized rooms. Our only minor complaints are that parking wasn't easy (and getting back onto the main road was tricky) and the fridge is nowhere near big enough for a house of this size.

Myself and all my family had brilliant weekend celebrating my birthday. Enough room for 9 adults and a baby. I requested a cot and highchair which was there for when we arrived Would highly recommend.

Would highly recommend! The only issue we found which was incredibly minor, was the lack of glasses. We had to pop to Morrisons down the road and purchase some cheap ones for all 11 of us staying. I would definitely go back to this absolute beauty. X x
