Situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands the charming Peak village of Longnor is located close to both the River Dove and the River Manifold. This tranquil little settlement makes an excellent touring centre and boasts several shops, a post office, tea shop, craft centre and a beautiful church. The market square itself is cobbled and a scale of charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall, adding to the old-world charm of the place. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and the Spa town of Buxton are all within easy driving distance, as is the attractive market town of Bakewell and the ever popular Alton Towers theme park.

I would fully recommend a stay at Curlew Cottage The accommodation was exactly what two people would be very happy with ,clean comfortable fully equipped and very remote and quiet The views were fantastic and a short distance away was a super pub for food and real ale great stay
