Hayfield, a charming High Peak village, is located on the north-western boundary of the Peak National Park, in a lovely agricultural setting. It's a pleasant little village that attracts trekkers because of its proximity to Kinder Scout. Families (and those who prefer more gentle rambles) head west along the beautiful Sett Valley Trail towards New Mills, while serious walkers head east out of the village, up and over the green foothills to the russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, Pennine Way, and Snake Path, while serious walkers head east out of the village, up and over the green foothills to the russet expanse of the Kinder Plateau, Pennine Way, and Snake Path. Edale, a different start point for the Pennine Way, is just a few kilometres distant. With taverns, cafes, and restaurants, the area caters well to tourists. There are many walking options available from the door. The property was very well furnished, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed and more! It was spotlessly clean and we can wholeheartedly recommend it.

A spotless, really comfortable and cosy place to stay in a lovely, exceptionally peaceful location with just the sheep and cows for neighbours. Miles of fabulous hill walking right from the doorstep. We want to return as soon as we can! Thoroughly recommend.

It was perfect for us and our 1 year old. He loved seeing the cows each morning and the addition of the books and toys he found to play with. Travel cot and highchair were provided which was brilliant. Highly recommend to anyone and we hope to be back later in the year for longer this time. Only tiny feedback to note was I couldnât find a hairdryer (a minor thing but would be handy!)
