Snaptrip says

Guests have praised 'The Cottage Glossop' for its cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped facilities. The property boasts a beautiful garden and scenic views, making it an ideal base for exploring the Peak District. The warm welcome, including thoughtful touches like a cake, has been appreciated, although such gestures are not guaranteed. Some minor concerns were raised about headroom for taller individuals and the size of the second bedroom.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotless and tidy upon arrival, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One review mentioned a dirty kitchen table and blocked hoover, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The cottage is well-regarded for its location, offering beautiful views and proximity to local attractions and walks. Some guests noted it is not as isolated as expected, but this did not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.

Comfort is consistently highlighted, with guests enjoying the cosy feel, comfortable furnishings, and warm environment. However, there were some comments about the second bedroom being cramped and the beds there being less comfortable.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the well-stocked kitchen and the inclusion of a wood burner. Some guests encountered issues with understanding the heating controls and felt that the fridge was small, slightly affecting the score.

While many reviews mention thoughtful gestures such as a welcome cake and milk, there is no consistent reference to whether such gifts are always provided. Therefore, while guests have appreciated these touches, it cannot be guaranteed they are a standard offering.

Everything was as described Cottage is clean and cosy, the garden is great with fantastic views over glossop. Kitchen is very well equipped and got everything you will need and more. Nice welcome pack of milk and cake upon arrival. Lounge is cosy and welcoming with log burner, (we didn't use log burner during our stay but everything needed for fire provided). Sofas are very comfy and great to snuggle down and relax on after a full day of walking. Bathroom is great with lovely shower over bath. Main bedroom is very spacious and bed very comfortable. Twin room is snug, but beds are comfy. Only storage in this room are underbed drawers, we didn't find find issue as Main bedroom has large wardrobe that we all used to hang clothes. Wayne was very helpful and gave all information needed regarding key collection, Internet, heating controls etc before our stay. There are lots amazing walks in the immediate and surrounding area of cottage that ourself and our 2 dogs loved. Enjoyed our stay at the cottage so much we've booked again already for next year.
