About this property

A stunning country retreat awaits, sitting on a private lane, surrounded by gorgeous countryside. This is the perfect space for family or friends to gather and make memories. With spectacular views, this is a great escape for those wanting to explore on foot, with paths leading to Eldon Hole, one of the deepest peak potholes. Castleton sits 4 miles away and has caves with tours available, and beautiful landscapes, with lots of cafes, pubs and shops to explore. Also 4 miles away, the spa town of Buxton offers a variety of restaurants, a theatre, cinema, micro-breweries and much more. Local amenities include a village pub and several country pubs within a short drive. A farm shop located 2 miles up the road provides fresh local produce. This cottage is a perfect base for exploring the Peak District National Park, offering both comfort and convenience in a beautiful rural setting.

The farmhouse offers you the beautiful traditional character of a Derbyshire farmhouse, with rich and warm interiors that have a hint of medieval flair. There is a dining room that welcomes you as you walk into the property, with plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy formal meals and celebrations together. There is not one, but two living rooms that sit on either side of the house, both with TVs and wood burners. A traditional farmhouse kitchen is in the heart of the farmhouse, with an AGA adding warmth and ambience, and a sofa that sits in the window where you can enjoy the view or relax whilst people are cooking or preparing meals. There is a utility just off from the kitchen. Upstairs are the three bedrooms with the master bedroom having an en-suite shower room, as well as stairs to one of the living rooms. There is a family bathroom on the first floor, which offers a hand-held shower over the bath, and a WC. The two other bedrooms comprise a king-size bedroom and a family room with a double and single bed.

Outside, you have a wonderful hot tub to relax in, which sits on the patio area not far from the door. There is a BBQ, outside seating and your own field to explore and play in. Surrounded by countryside and with pretty spaces to call your own for your stay, you won’t be disappointed with this beautiful retreat, perfect for family and friends to come together. The farmhouse has parking to the front and a shared grassed area, where the neighbouring cottage has its picnic bench; the farmhouse has its own enclosed rear patio, private hot tub and field to the rear.
