Guests say

Springwood Cottage is frequently praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and the inclusion of a log burner. The property is pet-friendly, with many enjoying the local walks and green areas. Some guests mention minor issues with maintenance and noise, but overall experiences are positive, with several expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests report the cottage as being immaculately clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few guests noted issues with odours and cleanliness in specific areas, slightly affecting the overall impression.

The cottage is appreciated for its proximity to local amenities, good food outlets, and scenic walks, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Some guests, however, found the main road location to be noisy, and there were mixed comments regarding parking convenience.

Guests frequently commend the comfort of the cottage, highlighting the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and cosy atmosphere created by the log burner. The property seems to provide a relaxing environment for most visitors.

Reviews indicate that the cottage is well-equipped with modern facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen and bathroom. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as problems with the hob, bathroom extractor, and heating, which suggest room for improvement.

While some guests were delighted with the thoughtful touches like a welcome guide and local information, there is insufficient evidence in the reviews to determine if gifts such as scones or dog biscuits are consistently provided, and therefore, cannot be guaranteed.

It was lovely, very clean and well decorated. It had everything in it that we could have wanted. The location is good and we tried a couple of the local takeaways. The walks around the reservoirs were really good and the scenery is just beautiful. The dampener for the week, other than the weather, which was very wet, was that the electricity board were working outside all day Tuesday so it was difficult to park near the cottage due to how they had the road blocked off. Then on the Wednesday, they cut the electric from 9am - 5pm so we had to spend the day out all day, mostly in the rain, with 2 dogs - it was not much fun at all. It is not the fault of the cottage owners and there was nothing that they could have done about the situation, however it put a bit of a dampener on an otherwise brilliant stay.
