The village of Bolsterstone stands on the edge of the peak District National Park, between Stocksbridge and Ewden Valley. This historic village boasts a pub that is nearly 200 years old, as well as being the home of the Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir, which was formed in 1934. Nearby Stocksbridge holds a variety of eateries and shops, together with many bridleways and footpaths, while Broomhead and Langsett dams make for interesting afternoon rambles.

We really loved our stay in both Holly and Oak cottages. They are extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable, homely places to stay. Although there are no windows in the upstairs rooms, the Velux blinds work extremely well. Above all, the total peace and quiet was indusive to the best sleep Iâve had in months. Access to beautiful walks literally on the doorstep was a huge bonus. We will be back!

Great walks and great access to city if you wish to drive. We will definitely return to this property I the future. The only negative I would give the property was the main bed was not comfortable think the mattress is in need of being replaced this however never stopped me having a great stay. Highly recommend.
