Arllen Fawr is a charming cottage in North Wales, praised for its stunning views, historical character, and spacious, quirky interiors. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from hosts Jo & Steve, the thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes and toiletries, and the property's ideal location for exploring the region. While some guests mention minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and comfortable, with only a few mentioning areas that could be improved upon, such as dust and cobwebs. The positive remarks suggest good overall cleanliness, but the criticisms indicate room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and proximity to local attractions, walking trails, and amenities. One guest noted it was further from Snowdonia than expected, but this seems an isolated view.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the cottage, with its cosy atmosphere and well-equipped rooms. However, a few guests suggested that some of the mattresses could be updated for better support.
The facilities are generally well-regarded, with guests appreciating the well-stocked kitchen and the extra amenities. Some guests noted that certain aspects, like the shower and tumble dryer, need repairs, and the heating system could be modernised.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests delighted by the welcome treats and in-room conveniences. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant about two miles away has the best fish and chips I ever tasted. Oswestrey and LLangollen well worth a visit. We wished we could have a lot longer there.

By far the most equipped cottage we have stayed in, it had everything you can think of! Such lovely personal touches too. Jo and Steve were really welcoming and friendly too.
