About this property

Hastings 4.5 miles. Hub House is a charming and contemporary, single-storey lodge located in Three Oaks near Hastings, East Sussex. Perfect for family and friends, this pet-friendly home features an open-plan design, and an enclosed garden, all just a short stroll from the local pub. Step inside Hub House and discover the heart of the home: an inviting, open-plan living area. Here, the designated chef can get to work in the equipped kitchen, while you can toast to a superb holiday around the dining table seating four. After a day of countryside adventures, look forward to sinking into the sitting area, where you can enjoy your favourite shows on the TV, or make use of the projector for a cinematic experience. When sleep calls, move through the lodge to find two gorgeously-presented bedrooms awaiting, a king and a twin (which can be transformed into a double if required). Both rooms are tastefully decorated, offering a serene space for all to catch your night's rest. The living room also offers additional space with a pull out double sofa bed. The property also boasts a sleek shower room, complete with a walk-in shower, ensuring you can wake up and indulge in a refreshing rinse each morning. Step outside to the enclosed rear patio, where you can enjoy alfresco dining or simply relax with a good book on the outdoor furniture. Step out of your tranquil retreat to discover the charm of Three Oaks, set near Hastings in East Sussex. Devote a day to uncover Hastings, where the intertwining cobbled streets are home to the iconic Norman ruins of Hastings Castle, the Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, as well as traditional seaside fun and entertainment, and exquisite dining venues. Venture further to the vibrant coastal town of Eastbourne, home to the dramatic cliffs of Beachy Head and the serene Eastbourne Pier. For a day immersed in history, visit the Battle of Hastings’ battleground or the enchanting Bodiam Castle. Alternatively, soak up nature's beauty on the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Hub House beckons your next escape to East Sussex.

The large historic town of Hastings offers a great mix of interesting places to visit, and is comprised of three parts, joined by the promenade. On one side is the Old Town, with narrow streets or 'twittens', attractive houses, Shipwreck and Fisherman's museums, wonderful tall black net huts, a fresh fish market, seafood restaurants and cafés. In the middle there is a contemporary shopping centre and on the other side is St Leonards on Sea with its fashionable Norman Road with antique and vintage shops, art galleries, examples of Burton's architecture (of Kew Gardens and London Zoo fame), Marine Court Art Deco flats designed in the shape of the HMS Queen Mary, and the remains of the Amsterdam, which is visible at low tide at Bulverhythe. West Hill in Hastings is home to the Smugglers Adventure and Pelham Beach, and East Hill offers the Hastings Country Park, 660 acres of ancient woodlands, grasslands and heathlands crossing five miles over cliffs and rugged terrain, plus East Hill can also be reached by taking the 'lift', the steepest funicular railway in Britain. Whilst exploring Hastings, visit The Stade and watch fishermen land their catch, plus why not take a trip to Blue Reef Aquarium and the remains of Hastings Castle? Pevensey Castle, dating from the 4th century, and the first Norman Church are twelve miles away. Further afield enjoy the NT properties of Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst and Scotney Castle, the cinque port of Rye, the abbey at Battle or the beach and dunes at Camber Sands.
