Close by is Battle, with its Abbey, and Rye, with antique shops and tea rooms, plus Royal Tunbridge Wells is well worth a visit.

Val is a very generous host providing, as others have said, many extras. I happened to mention that it was my husband's birthday on the day we arrived and she kindly left him a card and some chocolates. Five star treatment! We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a few early evenings in the garden overlooking the sea in the sunshine. Cooden Beach station is only a few minutes walk away with easy access to many places of interest along the south coast. We did trips to Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. We had a lovely relaxing time and would certainly consider returning. Thank you!

Amazing gardens with steps down to the beach .we loved just sitting in the garden with lovely views.Perfect for visiting the surrounding area by car or train .The train station is a 2 minute walk away.Val was very accommodating and a lovely lady .would definitely go back .
