When sleep calls, freshen up in the sleek shower room, before cosying up into one of the three double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. Hayling Island is a delightful location ideal for surfers and windsurfers and is only a short walk to the lovely local beach, as well as watersports facilities. The town also offers a convenience store for all of your essentials, with close by pubs and eateries, and a golf course where you can try out a game or two. Visit the Funland Amusement Parks for an action-packed afternoon out, or there are more places to visit including Portchester Castle and Farlington Marshes Nature Reserve, ideal for birdwatching. Portsmouth houses many attractions including museums, the Round Tower, an aquarium, and Eastney Beach. If you love hikes through the scenery, lace up your walking boots and head out into the South Downs National Park, where places to visit include the National Trusts' Harting Down, Kingley Vale, and more. There is truly something for everyone with a stay at the lovely 25 St. Benedict Road.

Hayling Island rests south of Havant, in-between the delightful Langstone and Chichester Harbours with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight with an abundance of attractions to suit all the family. Being a traditional seaside resort - this island is home to three notable beaches, perfect for walkers and nature lovers. The four-mile-long Hayling Billy coastal path is another haven for walkers and cyclists and the location also offers plenty of sporting opportunities, from windsurfing and sailing to kite surfing and golf. Children have plenty to keep themselves occupied including roller coaster rides at the Funland amusement park. The market town of Emsworth is nestled on Hampshire's border close by, boasting narrow streets, a harbourside, charming pubs, restaurants and specialist shops, certainly worth a visit.

There were no wardrobes at all in the bedrooms, just a small cupboard on the landing. There was no information at the property at all, on appliances TV's, places of intetest or places to eat. The lounge was obviosly a converted garage and it was not comfotable. The TV there had limited viewing options, no DVD. Dining room TV marginlly better so ended up on very uncomfortable dining able chairs in the evening, hardly relaxing. We cut our holiday short and came home. It was very basic and dissapointing. Certainly not worth the cost. We have used Sykes Cottages ever year for quite a while now but If this is the standard that Sykes is now setting, then we would think very seriously about booking with you again.
