A pleasant thirty minute walk brings guests to the village of Arreton where guests will find two pubs, a farm shop and a craft barn showcasing the work of local artisans. Four miles to the south, meanwhile, the village of Godshill is one of the prettiest spots on the island, where the quiet street is lined with quaint cottages, independent shops, tea rooms, and a model village. Of course, the Isle of Wight is known for its many lovely beaches, and the compact size of the island means that all of the island s best seaside towns and villages, including those at Ventor, Shanklin, Ryde, and Colwell Bay, can all be reached within a forty minute drive, with some much closer. If you prefer to head off on foot or on two wheels you will find lovely routes available straight from the front door.
