The Wash House in Bembridge is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature. Guests appreciate its proximity to the beach and local amenities, with many finding it a cosy and spacious retreat. The property's garden and the occasional welcome pack add to its charm, making it a recommended stay for visitors to the Isle of Wight.
Guests consistently commend the property for its exceptional cleanliness, noting it as spotless and well-presented. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.
The property's location is generally well-received, being close to the beach and local amenities. However, a few guests noted it was slightly hidden and one mentioned a preference for a more central location, slightly impacting the score.
The comfort of The Wash House is frequently highlighted, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the property homely. The spaciousness and cosiness of the house are also appreciated, although one guest suggested additional cutlery to match the dishwasher's capacity.
Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and maintained, with a few guests suggesting minor improvements such as a four-slot toaster or smaller saucepans. The presence of a BBQ and a Bose Sound dock, not mentioned in the description, indicates some facilities exceed expectations.
While some guests mention a welcome pack with wine and cookies, there are not enough references to consistently assess the thoughtfulness of the host across all reviews. Therefore, while the gesture is appreciated, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.

The kitchen is superb, with lots of utensils, crockery and cutlery, and it has a huge American-style fridge-freezer. There are three double-bedrooms, which makes it a little tricky if you are looking for at least one twin room, but the mattresses were very comfortable to sleep on. The bedroom upstairs is very large but it has sloping ceilings and my partner and I lost count of the number of times we banged our heads (the paintwork has several marks where others have also suffered the same fate). For us, the biggest disappointment was the location. This property is hidden away in a residential area and is a good walk from the town centre. Of course we had looked at the map before booking but whilst one of the beaches is only a short walk away, it is accessed via some very steep steps at the back of the local pub and is only really used by dog walkers. We had to use the car to go out to places because there was precious little near the house and in Bembridge to keep us entertained.

A modern, well equipped house with very comfy beds and plenty of room for six adults. Good outside space too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Wash House.

Very suitable for less mobile guests (wide doors, low shower). Graduated steps to the garden would be great (one of our party is disabled) but other than this, fantastic cottage- would recommend. Friendly owner and was very helpful for food recommendations.
